Printing Unlimited Supports Waypoints Through Fort McMurray Food Festival

The Suncor Fort McMurray Food Festival’s Golf Classic is happening this year on Monday, August 30th. The Fort McMurray Food Festival supports the local food industry and restaurants, and the Waypoints non-profit organization. The Festival’s two main events, The Golf Classic and the Taste of YMM Eats, are great ways for participants to support local businesses and enjoy some great entertainment and food.

The Golf Classic event is a “nine-hole tournament [that] will take place at the premier Miskanaw Golf Club.” This is the third annual golf tournament for the Fort McMurray Food Festival. This isn’t any normal golf tournament, however. This tournament “has an ultimate focus on having a great time, eating great food and getting to know new friends and colleagues.” The event starts at 4:00 pm with the “Welcome Patio Party” where participants will receive a welcome drink and appetizer accompanied by live music. The golf tournament starts at 5:30 with the “Shot Gun Start”. Participants can also expect to receive:

  • Golf registration with individual power cart for nine-holes
  • Minimum of two holes featuring food and one hole with a Signature Cocktail
  • Custom-created food for the occasion out on the golf course
  • Games and prizes on various holes

The Golf Classic event is bound to be a great tournament with good food and lots of fun.

The rest of the Fort McMurray Food Festival takes place with the Taste of YMM Eats, which started on August 9th and will end on September 10th, 2021. Here, guests will be able to taste food, vote for their favourite restaurants, and have opportunities to win prizes with their visits. The restaurants will be competing for those public votes, “while a panel of judges [will also] visit each restaurant to sample the menu and decide “Best of” awards in various categories”. There will also be a selected menu of 3-5 items from each restaurant that will be featured on the Taste of YMM Eats menu, and if guests order items off of this menu, a portion of the proceeds will support the Waypoints organization.
